Lessons from Nature for each Enneagram Type: Part 1 | a guest blog by Gwen Baker-Yuill

There is a growing scientific awareness that time in nature has important healing properties. Academic journals now reference Eco Therapy, Forest Bathing, Wilderness Therapy, and more. Although this idea has recently gained popularity, the concept of nature as teacher goes back as far as the human experience.

So how can we blend the insights of the Enneagram with the power of Nature to facilitate personal growth? All it takes is to set our intentions and look for the lessons.

This blog is the first of two parts. The second blog will look at each of these lessons in more detail.

Gwen Baker-Yuill, based in Bend, Oregon, has worn many professional “hats” throughout her career. Her varied background includes commercial sculpting for companies such as Disney, Mattel and Warner Brothers, and she has drawn, painted and illustrated for over 35 years. Recently, she has specialized in program management and online education, focusing on website design, curriculum development, marketing, customer support, grant writing, and faculty coordination.
